How Did I Miss This.....

I've heard that SouthCenter/Westfield Mall is making changes...but I had NO idea it was happening so soon!! Good thing Katie is on top of things!!

Besides the parking area being a complete mess, and the recently added (now open) parking garage attached to JC Pennys....

11 days ago they OPENED a CheeseCake Factory!!! Pretty sure they built it in 48 hours cause I swear I was just there and I never noticed it...but who cares! The important thing is.....its OPEN!! Did I mention they have CURB-SIDE PICK-UP....and only 5 mins from my work!! Oh lord!!

A Park Place residence was reportedly egged.
--Is this illegal? What charge would it be...."EGGravated Assult"?

A subject reportedly damaged a fence at a Water Street residence.
--Is this a police issue?

An elk head and tag were reported stolen from Pumphouse Hill Road in Cle Elum.
--Thats just gross and wrong!

A truck was reportedly driving under the speed limit on Water Street, forcing other drivers to illegally pass.
--If this road was on the way to 4-corners Safeway...it would be a good possibility that it was CAR-CAR!

A vehicle’s tire reportedly had four holes poked in it on Berry Road.
--Well hell! I had two nails in my tire...good thing it didn't happen on Berry Road, they would've had to call the SPECIAL CRIME UNIT!

Suspected burglars reportedly used the toilet and soiled the carpet after breaking into a state Route 903 residence in Ronald.
--Now thats "shitty"!

A truck was allegedly rear-ended by another vehicle on Mountain View Avenue.
--Was this in connection with the "slow moving" incident mentioned above?

A male subject was reportedly sending threatening e-mails to his ex-girlfriend.
--OH SHIT!!! People call the cops about this? GOOD TO KNOW!

A deer was allegedly struck on Riverbottom Road and was blocking the roadway.
-- "Allegedly"... was the damn thing hit or not?

A Ruby Street residence’s door had reportedly been open for about seven hours.
--SO.....close it!!

A 67-year-old woman complained of abnormal breathing in Ellensburg.
A 22-year-old man reported chest pain on 11th Avenue.
A 12-year-old boy said he had chest pains on First Avenue.
A 47-year-old woman reported chest pain on Canyon Road.
Graham Road residents said neighbors had been burning for the past week and excessive smoke lingered.

--OKAY......I got this!! The 3 breathing/chest issues were reported by neighbors on Graham Road!!

I know! I know! I've been MIA for awhile...and have alot of pictures I need to post!! So I thought I would start with HALLOWEEN!!!

I have to work EVERY Halloween because of month-end processing...and yes I know it shouldn't be a big deal cause its not like I have kids to take trick or treating...WRONG!! It is a big deal! I've tried rushing to Hobart to meet Dena and the girls for the past 3 years and never make it... it sucks!!

BUT...this year Dena made Halloween a great one!! Dena and Kevin brought the girls to my work all decked out in their costumes! It was perfect! (for me! I'm sure getting them ready 4 hours early was a pain...)

I finally got to play "trick or treat"! I passed out candy and goodies throughout our building so when Haley the "witch" and Kaitlyn the "ballerina" arrived everyone would be ready!! It was like my own Halloween carnival...damn it! I should've had a cake-walk! (maybe next year!)

They showed up, won over many hearts and filled up their bags just in time to head to Hobart for the annual stops!! (Grandma/Grandpa & Bob/Carla)

Thank you Dena and Kevin for taking the time to bring the girls to my work and making this Halloween a great one!!

Ok, imagine this...


Sitting around the fire, drinking a few beers, laughing and telling stories~

......did I mention it was DARK and we were in the WOODS......




So, there I sat so innocently...

I hear something causing noise behind me....

...getting closer - QUICK!! (and NO it wasn't a bug or a squirrel!)


As I turn around I realize "IT" is now snorting and moaning!!! (intensely!)

Next thing I remember is focusing on an inflamed NOSTRIL (big as a head!)

And an EYEBALL....



At this point, I SCREAM (about 6 times!)


I have no idea WHAT is going to eat me....I just know I'm DEAD!!



...you think its hard to get your ass out of a camping chair under normal circumstances....imagine when you are fearing for your 'effing LIFE...



I grab the closest thing next to me, hoping that it would assist me in my "ejection efforts"...

...which I later realized was Carleena, so I tried playing it off like I was trying to "save" her too!!

WHAT THE HELL IS TRANS FAT....and why do I keep hearing about it? I decided to do the typical Heather "googley" and this is what I found -

There are four kinds of fats: monounsaturated fat, polyunsaturated fat, saturated fat, and trans fat. Monounsaturated fat and polyunsaturated fat are the "good" fats. It is generally accepted that consumption of saturated fat should be kept low, especially for adults. Trans fat (which means trans fatty acids) is the worst kind of fat, far worse than saturated fat.

Ok..so at this point I need to know more...

One of the reasons that partially hydrogenated oils are used is to increase the product's shelf life, but they decrease your shelf life.
Trans fats cause significant and serious lowering of HDL (good) cholesterol and a significant and serious increase in LDL (bad) cholesterol; make the arteries more rigid; cause major clogging of arteries; cause insulin resistance; cause or contribute to type 2 diabetes; and cause or contribute to other serious health problems.

• LDL (bad) cholesterol: The main source of cholesterol buildup and blockage in the arteries.
• HDL (good) cholesterol: Carries cholesterol from the blood back to the liver, which processes the cholesterol for elimination from the body. HDL makes it less likely that excess cholesterol in the blood will be deposited in the coronary arteries. (HDL levels, to be considered "normal," should be at least 35 - 40 mg/DL.)
• Blood vessels: There are three types of blood vessels: arteries, veins, and capillaries. The arteries carry blood away from the heart. The capillaries connect the arteries to veins. Finally, the veins carry the blood back to the heart.

This is when I start to realize...Uh oh! I better check into the foods I eat most, and see how bad they are....

I had no idea that every time I pull up to the drive thru...I'm taking years off my life. I mean I know french fries aren't the healthiest food I could be eating, but I wasn't aware that I'm killing myself every time I eat the lil buggers!!

Right now you are thinking, "Duh Heather fast food is bad for you!" So I thought that I would also share with you .....

Trans fatty acids are fats produced by heating liquid vegetable oils in the presence of hydrogen. This process is known as hydrogenation. The more hydrogenated an oil is, the harder it will be at room temperature. For example, a spreadable tub margarine is less hydrogenated and so has fewer trans fats than a stick margarine.

Most of the trans fats in the American diet are found in commercially prepared baked goods, margarines, snack foods, and processed foods. Commercially prepared fried foods, like French fries and onion rings, also contain a good deal of trans fat.

Trans fats are even worse for cholesterol levels than saturated fats because they raise bad LDL and lower good HDL. They also fire inflammation,(6) an over activity of the immune system that has been implicated in heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and other chronic conditions. While you should limit your intake of saturated fats, it is important to eliminate trans fats from partially hydrogenated oils from your diet.

I don't know what foods you eat, or what your Mom cooks when you come over...BUT...my insides are in BIG trouble!! I need to pay better attention. I just checked and ROCKSTAR has ZERO trans fat...so at least that part of my diet is safe!!

Anyway, I just thought I would share my findings with you cause its scary to think how all these "new findings" are effecting kids!!

Just wondering...

What happen to manners? Being polite? Common courtesy?

I can't remember exactly where I was or who taught me, but I KNOW how to act and react in different situations. (ok...well at least some!)

For instance:
-When your driving and someone slows down to let you in...WAVE! You don't have to blow kisses or anything just a quick arm stretch.... When did this stop?

I understand everyone is in a hurry, but you ass....I just slowed down and added time to my commute, so you could get where your going...and then NO wave!!
What the hell? I swear if I had a "fast fwd" button, I'd push it BEFORE I let anyone over, and if they didn't wave...I'd drive right next to them for the next 5 miles, so they could never get over!! (waving the entire time!)

-When your walking out of 7-11 and someone is less then 5 feet behind you.....HOLD THE DAMN DOOR!! You don't have to lay your coat over the puddle, just give the door an extra push so it doesn't slam in MY face!!

-When you've been assigned to pick up coffee for the office in the morning....GO IN AND ORDER!! I can see ordering 1-3 drinks in the Starbucks drive thru BUT not 3 trays...that is 12 freaking drinks!! Do you have any idea how cold my $5 coffee is going to be!!

-I enjoy alot of different types of music, and I love rock'n out in my car just like everyone else.....but please keep your bumping tunes in your own damn Honda!! I already have to turn up my stereo at every stop light so I don't have to hear the "racing Honda hum/squeal".....I shouldn't have to risk blowing my speakers just because you decided to put yours in the trunk! (next to the nitrous tanks.....)

Any idea what happened? Why do we have more manners, act polite, and have some sort of common courtesy? I guess we don't need to nowadays!!

I just thought of something......It's the damn purple dinosaur.....kids these days didn't watch Barney and Baby Bop!!

32 People...(YES! I wrote this...)

Sunday night 32 people went to bed.

Monday morning the same 32 people woke up, got ready, and started their day.

Those 32 people didn't know they just lived their last weekend.

They kissed their spouses, children and other loved ones for the last time.

When their alarm went off on Monday morning, they had no way of knowing it would be their last wake up call.

32 people started their day just like any other day. I'm sure some had grudges they were holding onto, some had unnecessary arguments the night before and some were stressing out about their lives.

Others were in LOVE for the first time, just welcomed a new baby into this world, newlyweds for the first time, grandma's and grandpa's, aunts and uncles....brothers, sisters, friends, and co-workers.......

32 people didn't know they were running out of time to forgive their friends, thank their co-workers, say their sorry and make sure everyone they love...knew it!!

Think about this-

If those 32 people knew it was their last Monday morning, I bet hearing their alarm go off would've been OK. The traffic probably wouldn't have been a big deal. Staying up all night with a sick child would have been a blessing. Arguing with their spouse about money wouldn't have been an issue.
They would have laughed more, their kisses would have meant more, their hugs would have been more intense.....if they only knew it was their last Monday morning, think of all the things they would have done, or could have avoided, or should have ignored....

We were blessed, this could have been any of us....me, you, a neighbor, your cousin, mother, sister....ANYONE!

So I want to take a moment to make sure that everyone in my life knows they are there for a reason.

I LOVE all of you in some special way. I am SORRY for any pain or tears I've caused you. I hope you FORGIVE me for my faults, cause I forgive you.
I want to THANK each of you for being in my life.
I know at times I don't see eye to eye with some of you, but when it comes down to it....does it matter?

If I woke up Monday for the last time I hope all of you would have a Heather memory that made you smile, a thought that made you laugh out loud, and most of all remember me for my kind heart....not my "strong" head.

Oh Katie!

Ok, so I clicked on Katie's link to the Ellensburg police blotter...and read some FUNNY stuff!! I think Hobart should have one! We could report Warren's cows that get loose and the wild turkeys on my Mom's road...that are very aggressive!

I am beginning to understand why our Katie is so sweet, and so kind......she is straight COUNTRY! (nothing wrong with that!)

Here are a few of the "incidents" that took place last week in Ellensburg....

• Two people were seen driving erratically in a golf cart on First Street in Cle Elum.
- Okay, driving a golf cart erratically isn't always a safe thing to do...but who would call the police about it!!? Did they have guns, or chasing little kids...is it really that "big" of a deal?
• A horse was in the roadway of Kittitas Highway.
- Maybe this is why the two people were driving erratically on the golf cart...they were looking for their horse!
• A Rainier Drive resident reported seeing a father beating his high school-aged son in the front yard.
- Now this needs to happen more often in all towns!

I have question for ya...

Recently I listened to an audio book called "Stop CLUTTER from stealing your life". As I listened to the narrator talk about how clutter in your home and office means clutter in your brain...I started to think...

This dude was SERIOUS! Up until now I just thought I like to waste money on things I will never use, never make, never wear or never fit into....but that's not the case. I have a friggen disease...as I sit here organizing my scrunchies, and sorting my pictures from 6th grade...my brain is being consumed by CLUTTER!! You might laugh...but let me tell you this is a long and painful way to die!!

I was relieved once I realized "clutter" is actually caused by compulsive hoarding...there is still hope for me to overcome this without medication or intervention! The main thing I need to do is change my thought process and I've come up with...."No WHY no BUY!" If I don't have a reason to buy it...I'm not going to buy it! So PLEASE...help me be strong! Knowing that I have each of you as part of my support group is a great feeling!

I'm not sure if I have any readers left, but I thought I'd give it a shot and see if anyone still checks this thing!!

As most of you know...I have decided to MOVE...yep! I'm moving!!

Pretty sure I could win the "Longest Apartment Renter" award! I've been living in the same apartment for NINE years! Who does that? Obviously I'm not real big on change!!

Looking back alot has changed for me in the past 9 years. When I moved to Fairwood I was with Chris. (Pharoah's Dad) When we broke up I made the decision to stay in my apartment and attempt to live alone. I know being alone sounds good to all you parents and married couples, but the thought of waking up, coming home and going to bed with NO ONE around...was a scary thought for me!!
I had many sleepless nights hearing every noise, and for some reason when you live alone ALL noises sound like someone is breaking in! BUT...as time went on I got used to it and even started to enjoy being alone. The best part about our family is that I was never really alone. I think my Mom, Karen, Dena, Carleena and Ronda set up a schedule to call and check on me and of course invite me to dinner!!!

In the past 9 years I've learned so much about myself...good and bad!
I've learned that being hard headed isn't noticed as much when your fighting with yourself!
I've learned that I really can be independent and single and still be happy.
I've learned that no matter who your best friend is, they can also be your worst enemy.
I’ve learned that the picture perfect life that I once wanted and thought I would have…might not be the perfect life for me.
I’ve learned that being single still doesn’t make me a morning person.
I’ve learned that I need a washer and dryer! (yep! Lived 9 years w/o)
I’ve learned that being disappointed in myself is ok as long as I’m proud of myself too!
I’ve learned that I wouldn’t be who or where I am today without my family and friends!
I’ve learned that I’m a hard worker and a good employee.
I’ve learned that its way too easy to be lazy when you live alone!
I’ve learned SO much and SO many things have changed, but I wanted to list a few!
The most important thing I’ve learned is that I am blessed to have my family and I want to make sure all of you know that I LOVE YOU. No matter what decisions I make or what direction my life is going, I know that I always have someone to turn to. (and if one family member is going to say something I don’t want to hear…I’ll just call the next one!!) We have our ups and downs just like everyone else, but when it comes down to it…our family is one of a kind!

(really I had no idea this was going to end up so long!)

As I sit here packing up boxes and trying to decide what to throw away and what to keep, I am reminded of the memories I have with each of you….and I’m glad I don’t have to pack all of them…or throw them away! I get to keep them forever...

SO…as I was saying…way back at the top of the page….

I’m MOVING!! I will be renting a townhouse off of Maple Valley highway, close to my parents, sister and work! It has 2 bedrooms, 2 ½ baths, upstairs and downstairs…and a washer and dryer!! It even has a garage…1150 sq feet! I can’t wait!! It’s like a real home…with a NEW ADDRESS …so Kris go ahead and start sending me things again!!
